The cervix isfriable, and may bleed easily with manipulation. The cervix may show ectopy (columnar cells on the ectocervix). The discharge is usually mucoid or mucopurulent).
Chlamydial cervicitis with ectopy, mucoid discharge, and bleeding. The cervix is inflamed and friable.
